On Kivi's actual birthday, Peter and I took Kivi out all by herself for a special day. First, we went to IHOP for a yummy breakfast.
Then, we went to a salon in Lakewood, because Kivi really wanted her hair cut short again. Peter surprised me too by letting me get my hair dyed! He's usually against that sort of thing and now I think he will be again after he found out how much a good color costs.
After Kivi's haircut was finished and they were waiting for my hair to turn orange, Peter took Kivi shoe shopping, yep, she already needs new shoes. We think she's going to be a tall girl.
When we got home, the kids opened their package from Buggy and Kirk which asked them to be flower girls (with flower lollipops) and ring bearers (with ring pops) so cute.
I opened my cutie, "Will you be my Matron of Honor?" card with paper dolls representing the wedding party and Peter got a cigar from Kirk asking him to be a groomsman. Next year is going to be busy too!
The one other thing she wanted to do on her birthday was…wakeboard! This girl has become one ripped little seven year old from all that holding on tight to the rope. She has the biggest, cutest, girl muscles I've ever seen! Plus, she's an amazing wakeboarder and her Dada's in heaven.
That night we sang "Happy Birthday" as she blew the candles out on the raspberry cupcakes she made herself and her friend Grace came over to have a mini sleepover.
We joked about how this was the birthday that kept going and going. She also got to go to the zoo with Grandma, go camping with Uncle Chris and Auntie Tonya and cousins (and Opal) and get her nails done with Dodie, (plus go to Sea World which was posted about before from Poppie and Nonnie) This was one terrific year to celebrate!
You are super worthy of all your celebrations, Kivi girl! You are an amazing daughter, sister and friend. You are such a great helper around the house, eager to help with the babies and do housework. You are so smart and do third and fourth grade work! You read novels. (I don't even do that!) You memorized chapters of the Bible during Awana. You learned two new sports, ti kwon do and wakeboarding. You are polite and kind and are really getting your self control under control (usually). You are great at all you do, but even if you weren't we'd still love you just as much because you are ours. God gave you to us to love no matter how much you do or how well you do it. Do everything for His glory, not just to please us, or make someone else like you. Do what He wants, the way He wants you to, with a happy heart and love for others. We love you and your happy little heart! Happy 7th Birthday, Kivi Pea!
